Every year the most prestigious Film Festivals in Berlin, Cannes, Venice, Zurich are welcoming worldknown stars and surprising public.
One of the prestigious film festivals in the world was held from 28th of September till 8th of October in Zurich. Switzerland certainly is a unique country and Zurich Film Festival keeps its uniqueness by welcoming guests to the green carpet instead of red. In recent times, actors and actresses like Sharon Stone, Johnny Depp, Sylvester Stallone, Eddie Redmayne and other stars graced the green carpet in Zurich. In 2023 special guests: Jessica Chastain, Mads Mikkelsen, Diane Kruger, Todd Haynes, Michel Merkt, Volker Bertelmann, Ethan Hawke, Michael Steiner delighted ZFF green carpet.
Zurich Film Festival is an event not to be missed by film professionals or fans of cinema art. Since 2005 it has shown films from all over the world and has awarded the best works with the Golden Eye. The festival is becoming a symbol of the highest prestige of the world’s best designers dressing stars for the green carpet. You get to see films at the ZFF in the autumn that go on to win Oscars half a year later.

The Zurich Film Festival took place for the first time in October 2005. The founders Karl Spoerri and Nadja Schildknecht served as co-directors of the festival until 2019. Today, the ZFF is headed by Christian Jungen, Artistic Director of the Zurich Film Festival, and Jennifer Somm, Managing Director of Spoundation Motion Picture AG. With more than 130’000 cinema visits, the ZFF is now the second largest film festival in the German-speaking world. It was listed among the Guardian’s top 10 coolest European film festivals.
19th Zurich Film Festival Golden Eye winners became movies: “Hesitation Wound”, “Hollywoodgate”, “In The Rearview”. Awards Ceremony traditionally was help in Opera House with great humouristic opening, as one more confirmation: swiss is a cool nation.
